Trouble free installation
No conflict
The configuration is the same as previous versions.
Sonar 5 presets previous research to integrate them.
The manual in book form only about 120 pages (that bit ...)
The real manual is in PDF format on the DVD (which is what repulses me a bit. Although I know quite well sonar, they could have a book full version).
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
Works on A7N8X / Athlon 2400 + / 1.5 GB DDR / 400 GB / AU-1000
Sonar 5 performs very well (there is also the up-to-day available).
It takes a little less memory than Sonar 4 and runs, this time the native VST plugins!
OK, it's very stable, no problems.
That said I change my config because I use a lot of plugins and effects at the same time and sometimes, on some pieces of 15 or 16 tracks, ca train.
OVERALL OPINION
Cakewalk and I, it's been 11 years we know each other, since Cakewalk 3.
Sonar 5 and I, for against, just since Friday.
What I like most is its intuitive, easy I have to use it.
J''en've tried several before making my choice, either Logic, Cubase, Quartz ... but none satisfied me as much as him.
Level quality / price ratio for the one who buys without up-to-day, 779 €, it's expensive but well worth it!
on the other hand, for a user who, like me, is the setting-to-date each year, it does it well, I find (179 €)
And indeed, I would do this choice of software, I am perfectly satisfied.
