As expected, Steinberg introduces today the v7.5 update of Cubase and Cubase Artist, which will be available on December 4th.
What’s new in Cubase 7.5:
- Trackversions: you can now create, rename and manage parallel variations of the tracks
- Display only the tracks you want in the Project window
- Track Quick Control assignments can now be saved as presets
- Re-Recording mode to automatically record a new take at the original position, preserving the pre-count and metronome settings
- Multi-input and multi-output support for the Instrument Tracks (2.0), and ability to merge instrument tracks with the Instrument Rack
- HALion Sonic SE 2 with new sounds and a virtual synth
- Groove Agent SE 4 with 30 new drum kits and a smart user interface
- New EDM construction kits
- LoopMash FX to create breaks, stutters, tape-stops and more…
- REVelation: an algorithmic reverb inspired by vintage hardware units
- Magneto 2 : a tape recorder emulation
- VST Connect SE 2 adds MIDI data transmission when remotely recording through the internet
- New Instant Transient Navigation with Hitpoints that are automatically calculated in the background on new recordings and tracks imported into the arrangement window, with the ability to use shortcuts to jump from a Hitpoint to another
- Improved Score Editor with the addition of MIDI-related features to the Key Editor
The v7.5 update will be available on December 4th. Steinberg adds that boxed version of this update purchased prior to this date must note be installed / activated until the official release date. If you bought and activated Cubase 7 or Artist 7 after October 15th, you get a grace period and will not pay the update. For the others, the update costs 49.99€ and new purchases are 599€ for Cubase 7.5 and 299€ for Cubase 7.5 Artist.
