Connecting Mackie 1402 VLZ3 - M-Audio Fast Track Pro

Hi I have just enriched my small home studio with this Mackie Mixer https://www.thomann.de/gr/mackie_1402_vlz3.htm. I 've tried to connect it with my sound card (https://www.thomann.de/gr/maudio_fast_track_pro.htm), but it seems that I might be doing something wrong. I 've connected the card's TRS Out to the mixer's stereo returns, the mixer's main out to the two lines of the sound card and the speakers (M-Audio BX5a) to the Main left out and Main out of the back of the mixer.

Could anyone please enlight me? As you can see I am very new at this... especially the hardware part of it.
