#1
Hi. I'm in the process of trying to set up a home recording system, and I feel I need some advice.
I want to set up a system that will be able to record, mix and edit guitar, bass and vocal tracks, and provide midi drums and possibly other midi instruments. Some cool samples wouldn't go amiss too. And I want a reasonably professional sounding end product.
I currently have a medium-spec laptop and a pc, and an absolute maximum of about £1,000 to spend on new equipment.
The following two recording interface thingies have been recommended to me:
I am wondering which of these, if either, you would recommend, and whether they and the software that is bundled with them will fulfill my recording needs.
All input is highly welcome!
Many thanks,

Dont get the Fireboax....
Get the Mbox...i suggest the Mbox 2 or the Mbox Mini 2 becasue it has all the stuff you need andit is really good...(but you can only hook 1 mic up to it) i also suggest you get it from... https://www.musiciansfriend.com/home/navigation?q=mbox+2
on that website there is a good Mbox bundle for like $700.00
you should get the Mbox
