absolute cheepest: Tascam VL-S21's

they are loud enough, flat fq response and give you the low end. probably not any good for professional mixes, but i have them and love them. when i need to get gritty, i switch to sennheiser hd280s to hear with great clarity.

i got the tascams for $80 on ebay, and their size combined w/ price made it worth it for me. they are great for everything up until the final mix.
