Hi there guys. I have a problem, and I'm at my wits end about it. I'm new to the whole midi sequencing thing, and after hearing a couple of demos, I decided to invest in a keyboard with midi capability, and Garritans Jazz & Big Band vst samples. The samples are played through Kontakt player by default.

The problem I have, is that I have an Audiophile 2496 which has caused me nothing but trouble, and has a useless manual. I have contected the keyboard through the out port, into the cards "in" port. After that, I'm completely lost. The computer doesn't seem to recognise they keyboard, and under the Audiophile control panel, I see NOTHING in relation to midi at all. The manual only goes as far as explaning how to connect devices, which is pretty self explanitory anyway, but in terms of configuring the software so that I can start using the keyboard, it falls way short. Can anyway please take the time to help me out?

Many thanks
