What would I need to do to be able to play my guitar and have it to convert to sound like a violn(fiddle). Iam pretty sure this is a MIDI question but I need to know the particulars

Hello!

While midi could be used to trigger violin sounds, you will need to outfit your guitar with a hex pickup, a Roland or Axon midi interface, and a corresponding sound module. Have you considered the Ebow instead? - No, I'm not marketing for them, just opening up your options. If you decide to go the midi route, I've heard that the Axon has a better response time.
