Thread tube or/and condenser.

I am shopping for a condenser mic. Are all condenser mics also "tube" mics? I mean, is Shurt SM 57 a tube condenser mic?

No. The Shure SM57 isn't even a condenser mic. I know several on-line shops list it as such but it is definately a dynamic mic.

I have a really nice AKG C414 BULS condenser and it is not a tube mic.

For a low cost mic tho the SM57 is one of the best. I've got 6 of them in my locker. Always use it on snare. Sometimes on guitar. A few vocalists prefer it.

No Shure SM57 is probably the most famous of dynamic mics.

There are many great non tube condensors and some crummy tube condensors. Never make a mic purchase based on tube or not tube,
