This machine allows you to sequence up to 5 mono tracks and a percussion ensemble (9). Each sound track is programmable, monophonic, and based on emulation and analog or PCM samples: it has one or two oscillator, triangle, square, sine, noise that is combined in many different ways and internal samples that are little or not deform, by track. 3 effects at all, can be applied to one of the other tracks. Be either one to one or successively. An external audio signal can be used as source and go through all the effects.
There is a certain limit in the programming of sounds, but it is possible to reproduce a lot of exploring sound with the machine.
The twelve o'clock implementation allows complete control of the machine.
UTILIZATION
The use is convenient for the live. The only drawback to this machine is almost all using potentiometer not infinite. Indeed all the potentiometer used to set sound of a track, is used for the other track. So when you select another track, the faders do not recover the positions corresponding to the track. For example, if the VCF is in the middle for track 1 and I spend edition track 2, I put it to the max for it, returning on track 1, I still have my equivalent setting in the middle but as soon as I move the potentiometer, which is Max position, it causes a jump to the instantaneous value or it is located, ie at Max. Therefore storing or is each track setting, if you decide to vary the sound during a song. However indicator shows the initial position for the track. The Manual is clair.La machine very intuitive.
SOUNDS
The two lamps can give body to the sound. Effects are relatively customizable. I set a goal of one copy of Vitalic Poney. it is entirely feasible Live voice effect included (quick demo on soundcloud Atienon)
In Sequencer mode you can set the speed, but the mini keyboard, case, this parameter does not live. This machine will be limited to reproduce the classic .. but effective for a hacker wanting electronic sounds.
OVERALL OPINION
I bought 5 years ago. resold. I bought a year ago, because it's solid, very solid, metal block anything! Solo machine for € 200, there really enough to create or reproduce a lot of things. I recommend this machine groove box first, certainly the best for the price. In a set, it will provide the FX Jarre, the bass track and Percu very powerful.
I recommend it for beginners, it offers something to please autonomously. In reaching its limits it open to other machines but still a very good reference.
