I'm no expert in this, I think all information is available on the site Celmo.

This is an analog compressor.

Note that the plug is very key and a cable "standard" may be inappropriate.

Other than that, it's all good: a switch to activate the compressor, with a choice of 3 Filters ("flat" = transparent, and two others that cleave low) selectable via a small switch and a switch to activate the boost (only usable with the compressor on), with 3 more possible filters (flat = slight crunch without too much color, brown = slightly scooped, and purple is supposed to imitate the AC30 it seems to me (to take with tweezers), but that is very showy soon as bass disappear almost completely). Too bad the rate boost is not adjustable.
And two buttons, one for setting the compression ratio, and the other for the output volume.

A "true bypass" to top it off. (But this pedal is better than that, cf. Next item)

Small problem: the LED indicating that the boost is activated only works when the compressor is activated. Result: it may happen that starts the compressor and the boost is activated without anyone knowing! A little annoying ... But hey, when you let the compressor on 99% of the time like me, no worries!

UTILIZATION

I use it at the beginning of my chain effect (directly after my guitar so), which is the position recommended by the manufacturer. Indeed, although true bypass, this pedal reduces acute losses (even disabled) if your chain is long indeed. A very important point. It remains very clear (we note that once activated, the harmonics are much more present, giving a more flattering. Very slight staining on the whole, but widely tolerated).

The manual is quite brief, but clearly explains the various features.

Only complaint: the exit rate is very low. (Depending on the compression ratio, but I'm roughly between one third and half of the race of the button to keep a subtle but sufficient compression) Never mind the trendy guitars, I have to put the volume to 3/4 for the same output level that without Celmo! In his clear, it does not pose a problem, but for its saturated, it can significantly reduce the gain and leave a nasty crunch where we expected a big overdrive. Boring. Especially since over the knob is high, and the breath is present (but still relatively reasonable though). However, we soon got used to, but it's still bad for a pedal of this quality.

[for information, I use several guitars: mainly a Washburn N4, mounted with SH1 with output moderated, and Bill & Becky L500XL which is very very nasty, but also a Squier Classic Vibe Telecaster 50's with microphones simple alnico 3 , which are far from being beasts of power, and a BC Rich Warlock with humbucker GFS Crunchy Pat Fat Pat and it seems to me. And that is the problem with all these guitars, so I do not think it is a matter of output level of the microphone.]

SOUND QUALITY

The compressor is very good job, without adding too breathless. For me it suits me perfectly. I tried some other cheaper models, but none had convinced me. It is very transparent and natural. For my part I always use it in position "flat", others do not pleasing me more than that.

When the boost, it's perfect for a nice crunch very natural. Of happiness in a box (sardine)! Again my preference is for the "flat", but the others are nice sometimes.
I use an Electro Harmonix LPB1 to add a little gain if necessary, which can extend its range somewhat.

OVERALL OPINION

Bought nearly a year ago, when I started to build my pedalboard, I have no desire to change. It makes the job very well for which I took, and some other models that I could try I had not convinced more than that.

The new price is a bit high, but used a compressor that is worth the cost. (I had set myself a budget of € 100 and € 135 for FDPinclus I have not found anything better)

It allows me to leave feedback pretty easily if necessary, is very transparent and keeps me from altering my signal due to cable length. What you ask for!?
