« Old school delay! »
Published on 04/06/13 at 02:24This is a digital delay modeling of analog delay upscale.
Level settings is simple: Level, Repetitions and Amplitude of the delay.
Powered by 9V battery or Alime (I use a power supply T-Rex)
UTILIZATION
The effect is simple possible, everything is in the sound. 3 buttons and a foot switch, basta. The pedal consists of a hull painted a deep blue (hence the name!) Aluminum is both light and strong. No worries about longevity! The buttons are stylish retro respond well to tuning. A red LED indicates operation. No need to leave Saint Cyr to handle it all!
SOUND QUALITY
While there, the slap! I wanted a delay in the line of analog delays typed 70's / 80's for their warmth and feeling irreplaceable and I was served! Like I said, it's not analog but a mix of analog and digital. It is a success! Two worlds meet to synthesize a sound awesome. It is a pleasure to see the effect that react simultaneously turns the repeat button for sounds become completely psychotic and barges out of the first Star Trek when it grows back!
The sound is warm, bluesy, rehearsals are both clear and distorted just to give the old school cliché. Magic!
I use coupled with Hardwire RV7 reverb and wah Morley Tremonti and that is happiness!
OVERALL OPINION
A little expensive, a little simplistic, but so effective! I was tired of my digital digidelay too bland and then I used a mode 7: analog modeling with rehearsal of a few hundred milliseconds. So I wore my choice on it. I also noted the MXR Carbon Copy but too cold for my taste and the Providence 80's too expensive.
For those who enjoy a simple but effective delay with a crazy shot is the deal of the century! From slapback delay to a second, he won every challenge with gusto Just a pity that there is not a tap tempo, because it makes when the same service. I tested dozens of delays and for the moment this is my reference.
