Classic pedal on top, but not practical because behind must be removed with a screw cap to access the different combinations of sound. Namely, crunch, saturation or distortion.

SOUND QUALITY

Although I do not use this scene on foot as it is not suitable for my setup, I find explosive!
Particularly connected to my head Marshall JTM45. Do not be afraid to push the saturation and play with the knob of the guitar. Great sound, a little dirty to ZZtop (obviously), very friendly and dynamic, it really does! One of the very best pedals it was given me to play. I prefer the Ibanez Tube Screamer or Maxon and to the driver at Boss Blues, much more character!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a few years. Apart from the little problem adjusting to the rear, this pedal is really to recommend!

UTILIZATION

Easy to use as you do not make choices about the type of saturation. Indeed, one has the right to go 3 dampers for a not too bad a saturated overdrive which is much more, but
1) the settings are made by dipswitches (already easy in concert)

3) and unscrew the box to get there (and save money!)

SOUND QUALITY

Very good sound, you can make the most mild to the downright fat stuff that disintegrates the end of term TS is organic, it's good, it's juicy.
You can mount strong enough in distortion but it's still classic, it is not too modern in tone.

I've had pfiouuuuu, chandeliers. One of my favorite in terms of its distortion.
I bought it cheap, nearly 1,000 USD at the time, there was almost 20 years I think (and at the time it was costing a pedal in the 300-450 USD, no more), so c 'was an expensive pedal. she gave me satisfaction for many years in my apartment, so we not play high Volme.

I've had a year is used is quite rare.
One of my prfres with my GT-2, my Proco Vintage Rat and my Blues Devil
Proco you get with almost sounds like a lightweight drive, but Expandora
less serious and texture.

Well just to say that the distortion pedals of two and I had never left it that I and my TS9.
So this expandora has the sound I was looking for my mine has me.

Overdrive / distortion pedal. Small format (useful for insertion into a pedal board).
Operates on a standard 9v power supply. Very sturdy metal case.
A true bypass stomp switch with. Three knobs Gain, Tone and Level.

UTILIZATION

To change the battery, unscrew the bottom of the pedal with a screwdriver (not very practical) and gives you access to two mini-switches, one plays on the drive gain, the other lets you choose between crunch and distortion. So once you've closed the pedal and that like me you've screwed your pedal board .... you understand me!
New versions of Expandora have corrected the problem, the switch can now be accessed on the top of the pedal, which is much better.
The knob crachouillent with time and it is impossible even through the back of the pedal to access, so no way to put a bomb hit. Do with.
A little trick for knob who spit and you can not dismount. Turn left to right without stopping for a minute and solves the problem for a while.

SOUND QUALITY

Mode distortion is the sound used by ZZ Top on the album "Rythmeen" pretty gross. We like it or not. Anyway if you want this sound, this pedal is.

I own the Expandora since 1998 and I always use it. I reserve the essentially rhythmic crunch and some blues solos. I have tried many others.

The pros: very good crunch pedal mode, in the spirit Tube Screamer, the chip that goes well, small footprint, efficient settings, true bypass, professional anything. Good value for money.
