Drive8 « A good versatile distortion »

UTILIZATION
Level settings, you can adjust the output volume, tone, saturation (the light overdrive to a distortion free - but it's still "own" it does not share in fuzz).
Plus: a mini-switch that lets you choose between three types of distortion: normal / bright / warm. Normal: classic distortion, bright more suitable for solos, warm: its worst.
In the end, the pedal offers a wide range of sounds. Especially potentiometers are usable on all their race.
SOUND QUALITY
Tested with a strat: the sound is clean and clear. For distortion, this is very significant because the rendering is very musical. In bridge pickup (I have a little-Seymour JB) harmonics out all alone: the best!
Tested with a Les Paul: the rhythm are present (still own once: the sound is not rough). The pedal responds well to the action on the volume knob. In acute position: beautiful rendered for solos. on the other hand, to mitigate the clean side of the pedal, it is preferable to add either: a reverb, delay, chorus, phaser / flanger ...
OVERALL OPINION
Pedal that does its job: as used in rhythmic solo. It does not take much space on your pedalboard, while offering a wide range of sounds.
