Published on 11/19/11 at 07:07Everyone knows the almost CHARACTERISTICS of the original MT-2, we have here plus a switch that allows you to choose a mode trs close in the spirit of the original and the other grement more dynamic (just as well on sr is called an MT-2 ...) that sounds a little less modern.
UTILIZATION
Boss pedals.
The switch is easily accessible but can not, given its position and size, an activation at the base.
SOUND QUALITY
The video post on the site MSM Workshop (http://msmworkshop.fr/mt2atom.html) does not really honor the edit. And once installed the pedals in my pdalboard I took a real slap.
The sound quality is finally satisfactory (at least for the price-metal area of origin is trs + modif well), there is a gap between vritable the original and the modified version.
But remains a nanmoins Metal-zone; what it does, it does finally grace the mod trs well, but do not ask him to do much more than riffs and some solos in the register mainly Thrash Metal.
So to enjoy the quality of the pedals: humbucker mandatory mdiator rigid, plam-mute + power-chords.
The main quality of the original MODEL t keep: the pedals always provide a ton of gain.
The default t have the most empty deleted or Reduces: trs breath dsormais reasonable sound less synthetic thanks notably to the second mode can be activated with the switch.
To give an ide of the evolution between the MT-2 and this original version: I store the MT-2 core in favor of MXR Double shot of that silent a good step up. Now with this version of the ATOM MT-2 is the double-shot I bet ct and without regret.
OVERALL OPINION
From my point of view the mod worth, provided after gaining MT-2 is always intresss by the type of sound promised by the Metal-zone.
For the price it takes 45 plus shipping (I got to 10 but I sent two pedals at the same time).
In view of the contribution of edit. the price is not excessive, I totally abandoned in favor of Boss pedals MODELS higher-end (T-rex and particularly with their Tech21 Character series MODELS) make these MODELS more high-end pedals including the Boss MT-2 home with his big breath and made the synthetic blades figure.
Thanks the mod, I can switch between such a Tech21 Character Series California (+ / - 200) and the new MT-2 Atom without the cart of sound quality (which all of the same subsite ) is really not too flagrant Gnant.
I am happy to rev this change (and that of my SD-1) as a result I will also send my CS-3 and MD-2 in my MSM WORKSHOP.
