Value For Money : Excellent
Oriented metal distortion pedal (as the name implies)
4 knobs: level, low, mid, hi
an output amplifier, a mixer + that emulates a tube amp 100w marshall type
I put 10 for the mid knob that allows to easily obtain the sound you want (more or less hollowed out) that are not found in many pedals ...

UTILIZATION

Operation is super simple, it connects to the pedal, you plug the pedal to the amp, pressed, and it tears right now!
the knobs are one of the highlights of this pedal, they are super accurate, and can easily reach to the sound you want. more presets given in the manual are good starting points pout shape their own sound from the different sounds available.
the battery is easily accessible, it is far from the wah dunlop where you have to disassemble the bottom of the pedal.
Here, you press one of "hinges" of the pedal with the tip of a jack and it's good.
my only regret about this pedal conserne abscence of the knob to adjust the gain, but at the same time if you buy a pedal with written on death metal in red on a black background research is that not too versatility ...

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is mortal, very large saturation, depending on the settings of mediums, we can move from one type Canibal corpse to his sound ac / dc with a little more saturated than normal, to metallica, soad ...
However, it lacks a little heat, but I have not yet tried it on a tube amp ...
accuracy of the sound is remarkable, the grain is tighter than the dod death metal, seems generally more anoint means well all the strings without ever having to spray infamous s'échape of the amp.
thanks to specific knobs, I can even make it sound very large palm mute heavy with (only) humbucker bridge of my guitar, not to mention tearing solos within the meaning of the word, try you will understand ...

addition of 20/04/2006
after more than a year of use, I come back after the test to confirm other distortion pedals (mt2 ds2 ds1) and this pedal really all tears, for against, having been able to compare the sounds with models race condition, I return to say that for the old school metal, this pedal has a grain too tight for my taste, and not enough sustain, is a pedal that I use primarily forthe rithmique, because I find the sound too "clean" for my taste.

Let me explain, the sound is super saturated, either. but it lacks the side "filthy" that I like during the solos, it is probably because the grain is very tight ...
So I remove a point, no more, because I found it sounds great on a big amp (good quality) here ... it equals certainly not a distortion of tube amps, but compared to other pedals on the market, it is worth 9
I'll be back in a few months since purchase of a compressor and a delay ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for two months, and I can not get enough, it leaves a very distinctive sound very heavy metal, tearing solos ...
I imported from the United States for 54 dollars (I live in Morocco and the course of the euro hurts c. ..)
So taking everything into account I had at 40 euros.
I would definitely do it again this election, in part to the ridiculous price but also for sound.
I might be buying a boss ds1 for versatility.
