I was at the guitar center and I was preatty broke and looking for a cheap first guitar and all the others in the price range were ugly of seemed fragile. I saw the squire for $120 and It was preatty much what I wanted at the time.

I like it because its a simple easy to play guitar...also I have beaten the shit out of it and it still plays like new

It dosnt really sound that good the sound is dull and sounds "genaric" also it dents so easly that you would think it would be broken in a second,but... Im very sick of the strat look and the high e string seems to break alot.

well ive really beaten it up and it still works as if it was new

not a bad beginners guitar of for the person who is broke as a joke.

This was a Christmas gift from my dad.

This is by far the ultimate BEGINNER'S guitar.It has decent sustain, a whammy bar and is bay far one of the most durable guitars i have ever played. I have dropped it on several occasions and it still plays as good as it used to. The best thing about this is that it is inexpensive so if guitars aren't for you then it is no big loss but if they are this is still a good gigging guitar, i personally use it as my back up onstage.

I did not take great care of mine so the neck is slightly warped and the input jack is never screwed on right, but if I did then it would be in much better condition now. The neck joint is slightly thick for my taste(plus the fact that i like to hang my guitar really low when onstage doesn'thelp much) and gets in the way for upper fret usage.

Overall good quality guitar. May need to be tuned every few days after heavy use but other than that it's good. Some of the fretwire sticks out at the bottom and may cause slight inconvenience.

Great beginner electric guitar, I will probably playing mine untill the day it falls apart, which may take a while.

I paid $160.00 for this guitar at Guitar Center in Towson MD 4 years ago. It was my first Guitar I didn't need anything fancy.

Well I've been playing Guitar for about 5 years now and own Several Including a Fender Mexican and I will say that nothing matches up to this little Squire, it has the best feel the best playability and the best sound believe it or not, course mines a few years old and the new Squires are really dropping in Quality, so I'm glad I got a old one, its a 96 model.

Nothing its just an all around great guitar. I did go up 2 gauges in straings I have 11s on it now but thats just a personal preference it still played fine on the 9s it came with.

Great Very Durable Neck is Straight pickups don't buzz its the most comfortable guitar I've played and I've played Squire-Paul Reed Smiths.

Great Guitar but as I said earlyer get an older model before 2000 prefferably cause Squire has been going downhill in quality since then.

My Pick ups are loud enough that I don't need to switch to my Mexican when I play gigs inside or Outside, its just great.

I got my Strat a my favorite local music store. I had been taking guitar lesson at the store for a while when I noticed the guitar for $199(cdn.) I had been renting a Fender Duo-sonic That was starting to get worn out so I bought the strat.


I liked the way the color seemed to change tone around the guitars body even though i
I knew it was probably a production mistake but it looked realy cool. I also liked the cherry colored fingerboard It went well with the red body and is easy to move your hand around on the neck.

This guitar was used so I knew it wouldn't be as good as new. First off sometimes the 6th string buzzes against the frets.

I don't like the way strats curve around the body, I liked The squared of edges of the body of the duo-sonic more and the Duo-sonic's shorter neck.

Besides the botched paint job that I liked anyhow, the tone and volume controls are sticky to move and I noticed the frets were set unevenly.

This Is a grat begginer guitar the 6th string fret buzz could probably be fixed and price tag is also attractive.

i got this guitar from a local music shop for about 200$$.

I Like the feel of this guitar and how it plays.Its really nice good range of tones but i would get new strings.

The string really suck and bread easy,buy some guitar boomers they last forever.Ths isnt a professional guitar and has its limits.

All and all pritty good,it get a few dings but that probably was my fault.

If your looking a an inexpencive guitar thats a good guiter get this sguier its half the price of a fender but its made by fender.lol.

I bought this guitar as a first for me in a pack with an amp and all. This guitar is definitly not for anyone BUT beginners. however, for a starting guitar player this is the perfect instrument. I just recently sold mine, but for the time i had it, it set me on the right foot for my guitar playing!

easy playing, not too complicated, all around good sound. made by fender so it has to be good!

imput nut came loose, but i just tightened it right up and it was back to normal!

very well made guitar, held together very well. even though the imput plug came loose, it was no big deal.

great guitar for beginners! i would reccomend it to anyone who wants to pick up the guitar.

I have this guitar for about 3 years, at which time I started guitar and it's true that it is perfect for beginners.
The look is very nice (I sunburnst in) and it has no apparent defects (cage to change the strings without problems, no problems of cargo etc.).
The downside is that once you start to chain the pieces we want to necessarily turn up the volume is there or you walk away from your amp or you will not go up the sound. Because for enchainer a Metallica riff strong enough, our ears screaming ouch because of feedback, all because of the guitar pickups: the weak point. But it seuleument now that I decided to change his guitar so for those who wonders if she should begin: yes.
Here I use it with: a 100W Marshall amp, a Rocktron distortion, and loop pedal Boss RC20-XL. But it's true that once one knows the guitar it shows, not its faults but its limits.
€ 300 with a good guitar and an amp though (but I find it too aggressive distortion) 7.5/10 I put in the category Guitar beginner.

This is a combo pact that you pick up at Walmart, Best Buy, or say Guitar Center. This is the starter pack that allows parents to get their kids started into playing the electric guitar. It comes with picks, a tuner, a guitar strap, a gig bad, a cable, an amp, and a guitar. Everything you would need to get playing. All of the items are the cheapest possible but this means nothing to a little kid of parent experimenting on their child's musical talents.

This amp by no means is meant for going outside of the house. You tuck this thing away and never let anyone hear it or see it. It is designed to be a practice amp, but the tone from it is really horrible. I am don't care to listen to it at all because the tone is just lousy. The clean of course sounds good. If Fender the kings of clean tone didn't make it sound good on the clean then thy would have a big problem.

Not a hard amp to get used to. It doesn't have that many control knobs to get in the way. The thing has two channels and in my opinion it should have some amp modeling or something else to go along with this thing. To me the clean are fantastic but the dirty channel is really thin brittle and everything a solid state amp sounds like. It has no character or soul in the tone and you ave to fight the thing to make a decent sound out of it.

The clean channel is not that bad. Again it is not that good either. They come off sparkly and chimy but not as you'd expect from a Twin Reverb or Deluxe. For the dirty channel any less than a humbucker style guitar will just sound like trash.

This guitar comes with a standard Fender Stratocaster pickup setup with three individual single coil pickups. This one comes in a black paint finish that looks as cheap and it sounds.

This guitar feels and sounds like someone with no background on building guitars put this together blind folded. The build quality is as cheap as humanly possible. I actually think the pickups are probably worth more than the wood of the guitar itself.

This guitar came in the combo pact that came with an equally unimpressive Fender guitar amp. Both together will bring out the howling dogs. I think that amp sounds best in the off position. The guitar sounds best unplugged and sitting in the closet of little Johnny's room.

This guitar would be better put to use as fire wood then actually playing. The pickups are very weak and brittle sounding. The combination of this guitar with the Fender amp that you get in the pack is just ear piecing bad. I completely understand that this is a starter pack for the uninformed, but for any experienced player putting their hands on this guitar will leave them scratching their head wondering who would want to continue to learn the guitar if they were giving this thing.

You can pick up this starter pack fro a little over $250. Not a bad price for getting your child into the electric guitar. If mom would have bought me this when I was younger maybe I would have not gotten such a late start playing the guitar.

Again I'll say this guitar is fine for someone exploring whether or not they want to play the electric guitar. In that case this is a fine guitar to try out.
