Phasing pedal using analog technology.
A single knob to adjust the speed of the effect, difficult to be easier!
This pedal is legendary on the market since 1974 (although the components have almost certainly change over time), and its strength is as legendary as his sound.

UTILIZATION

The general configuration is on-not-be-more-simple. Its standard format ensures that the Phase 90 of Mxr place in many a pedalboard.
Editing of different sounds is immediate, simply turn the single knob, thus no need detailed instructions!

SOUND QUALITY

I used (and I still from time to time) this pedal on electric guitar, although it gives very good results on my keyboard.
This pedal takes us into the 70's: in the books rock, reggae, funk and hard, she can complete a chorus or flanger or supplant them.
With distortion, we find the legendary sounds of Van Halen, a lower cost than with his signature model for me has made very similar.

My main complaint concerns the distortion it brings to his phaser clear of the amp. Let me explain: it provides both triggered a dirty side to her, especially when we aggressively attack the strings, making it difficult to use for attacks funky energetic ... I read somewhere that there is a modification to the PCB to remove this flaw, but not knowledgeable I got into any risky experiment ^ ^ On the other hand, some research may be To this end, this is just my personal opinion!

Some types of settings (subjective of course ^ ^)
8: Uli Jon Roth, "In Trance" Tokyo tapes.
10-11 h speed typical Van Halen
14h "Memory Motel" The Rolling Stones
thoroughly: "No Quarter" by Led Zeppelin.

OVERALL OPINION

This is the first pedal that I purchased, there are two years ago.
It corresponds, at his, had the idea that I'm a phaser (I'm not a fan of electro harmonix example, too "metal" for my taste)
I would do probably this choice, however I do not use so much more compared to my chorus.

I recommend this pedal, however, for those looking for the sounds of artists I could mention:)
