«  Fender like a good set for clear channel »

Published on 11/17/14 at 09:49
I tried to equip an old strat copy with very flat microphones microphones typed Strat but without excess. I finally chose this set after much hesitation.

The guitar is of course transformed. The microphones are dynamic, very clear, typed Fender. For the, play the blues fingers is excellent! In fact, we seem to hear a real Fender. So of course, if you already have an old Fender, interest is limited!

In his clear, a Marshall amp, it works very well. On the lead channel, if you push the gain, it becomes less interesting, a little slurry. That said some people like (I was told about a Jimi H. particular ...). If you're the type to play on Fender amp on the other hand, it is a good idea.

BKP recommends to play the finger. I must say that this is not my specialty. To pick, yet they are very good. I particularly appreciate their ability to sound with the volume as 1 to 10 (with a treble bleed course): it controls the gain on the knob and get its always interesting. Similarly, they sound all three very well with the tone down.

I came up with a push / pull that adds the neck pickup. Tone down the sharp torque / handle sounds a bit PAF is quite impressive. The three microphones all send her a little more but it loses precision ...

To conclude, if you only have one guitar, it is not necessarily a perfect set because it is not very versatile. However, if you want to sound vintage (and as BKP reminds unlike SD, vintage sound that is new, that is to say, as in the 60s), it's a very interesting set, made old: hand wound alnico 2 with love!
