« Good product but ... »
Published on 03/26/12 at 03:47Ordered from TT, received a few days, really well packed and protected. TT is serious.
Test hot, I just got it.
Housed in a 2x12 cab purchased from Sydney Plextone mounted Celestion G12M.
These are accessories for cab that improve the dissemination of guitar cabinet sound. Whether one is in front of or next to the speaker, we perceive the same sound. Cà works!
The most:
the sound is good, and the effect of these broadcasters is effective and musical.
The sound is actually more consistent front and side of the cab, we lost the percussive side (the wrong way) that we have in front of the amp. The sound is softer, no loss of volume or dynamic. It's very effective.
Why manufacturers do not they ride home on their speakers?
Cons:
making correct but fragile.
3mm thick plywood, painted black with a cardboard cone stuck in the middle of HP. The glue is visible (it's way here), the cut is clean and correct, the holes correspond to the positions of the screws of my Celestion, no problem for installation.
One of my two TT split happened: the plywood that was fragile at this point, I reattached with glue, it's good now. This is not a case of the carrier, it is a case "structural". Well, let's ...
My cab has its HP mounted from the front, so the screw based on the Diffusor. Already they are limited in length when added, I was careful not to over tighten to avoid breaking the TT. So: HP mounted from behind: no problem since the screws will be in contact with the hp, and the TT will be sandwiched between them and the baffle, HP mounted from the front, delicate assembly required. If you squeeze too hard, for the thickness of these accessories, you break the tightening even without going there as a nag. Attention also to the length of your mounting bolts.
I put a 9 for sound, a 4 for quality workmanship, here is 6.5. I'm tough but Diffusor 2 TT = 40 € + postage, it's not given anyway.
A good product can be improved. (I do not know the competing version of Weber).
