I just received my two copies, after months of waiting qq (thank you the importer, by chance, I'm patient).
Most: accuracy and quality Schaller is a great achievement.
The least: the nut height adjustment is difficult to access. You need a wrench extra fine MECANO kind of our childhood.
I have another Lespaul that original Floyd Rose is mounted by the Custom Shop Gibson at the time, limited edition. Now, for a floyd, micro Bridge should be moved to the center, to keep a sufficient thickness for wood screws pivot floyd. In Tune O Matic, the microphone is too close to the bridge to be replaced with a luthier to get high for a floyd. In this case should redo the interior of the micro Bridge, build the wooden partition between the cockpit and the pivot holes. In short, the Assembly Schaller Tremolo LP is the key to a good vibrato quality without distorting a Lespaul. (And no it is not heresy, it is a scalable version. Ha! If only Gibson had the good idea to redo some models with Vintage tremolo or Floyd)
Easy installation (except for height adjustment, a bit boring-boring)
Simply remove the bridge base to change the metal pegs that provided by Schaller, and this is important because the original bolts are too short to handle the pressure of pulling that focuses on the easel tremolo.
Today I am 9 / 46 on the first. I'll put the second on my other Lespaul available 10/46 and pulling ... However, I do not know if very large string tie are recommended with this mechanism, the forces involved may be excessive for the wooden body of the guitar, even if the pegs are Schaller double depth. I recall that the entire force pulls on the two pins used to pivot the bridge trem.
185 euros in the catalog is a bit expensive, but my favorite store gave me a nice discount and therefore more acceptable.
With experience, today, yes, I would do this choice because the two models on the market, suitable for Les Paul is the most elegant and most discreet, in addition to outstanding quality.
