I found a pair of Ditton 44 at your local recycling center (!). I have taken to the house, and after having connected I thought "What a fool was able to throw the speakers of this quality?".
The sound is crystal clear and sharp to take your breath away. The bass is serious and accurate, the treble is clear but never aggressive. The quality of these speakers is phenomenal, if one considers that they date from 1973 to 1974.
For those who find a pair to the recycling center (ben yeah, I was lucky, but it can happen again to someone else, right?) - Go ahead, take it and enjoy.
Myself, I use them as speakers "monitors" (listening studio) and they come to the end of 2000 € speakers / pair without problems. The only drawback may be significant in size.
