And these are characteristic of the AK95 DVS
- Neck: Artcore 3 parts glued mahogany / maple
- Top: Flamed Sycamore
- Back & Sides: Flamed Sycamore
- Frets: medium
- Bridge: ART-1
- Cordier: VT100DX
- Neck pickup: ACH1 (H)
- Bridge pickup: ACH2 (H)
- Depth of body: 70 mm
- Color: Dark Violin Sunburst
- 2 knobs for micro
- Gold hardware
One of the best (maybe even "the best "...) money I've ever had the good fortune to buy. I find the aesthetics beautiful! As for the violin, I have gone through a magnifying glass and I could not find a fault!
Only one small problem: the original strings that are not top notch ... But for the price you can not ask for anything more.
EDIT 18 MONTHS AFTER PURCHASE: The AK95 continues to be a guitar that I play with a lot of fun. That said, it should be noted that the tailpiece Gold hardware oxidizes at a certain speed (after four months he was mine). The thing does not bother me but the freaks "everything perfect" are preventable.
UTILIZATION
The shape and weight are not a problem: the guitar is light and balanced. Given the size of the box access to treble is not very comfortable as all the hollow-body guitars. If you are used to solid-body factory setting of the action may be too high but for me this setting suits me perfectly.
SOUNDS
Unplugged it over potatoes and balance of what we might imagine Connected to a fender amp transistor and with the neck pickup selected, it suits me perfectly for the sound "clean" or just "crunch".
However, the side too "loud" the bridge pickup gives me more confused ...
Register for a rock-blues it does the job but nothing more. If you want to pepette and evolution, this guitar would probably sound better with other pickups. In my case, I will not change it because I have bought to play sounds clean and at this level, no complaints.
I give 8, but considering the price I think I'm still a little too strict ...
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for eight months and I do not leave: connected or disconnected is a sacred guitar. Before buying it I tried other guitars hollow-body in the same price range and the AK-95 is: a) surely among the best value "price / quality" b) characterized by a very good violin I can not presume to tell you have tried all the hollow-body on Earth but I have played enough to recommend trying the AK-95 in case you are looking for a guitar for less than 500 Euros.
