« EMG passive it sounds! »
Published on 01/16/11 at 14:35I purchased this microphone for customizing a squier stratocaster made in japan 1993.
EMG Hz H4 is the passive version of 81.
Many people have a tendency to say anything about the EMG HZ passive pickups, I think especially since many did not really try!
Moreover Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom uses passive EMG HZ's signature models!
Do you think that a guitarist would play on his level a bad microphone?
Regarding the sound, it is actually very close to the 81 it is less powerful but also more accessible in a sense, seymour duncan dimebucker is the microphone that he most resembles the passive type.
What is interesting is that with the H4 can the splitter and then get a good sound micro simple, warm sound.
In short it is a good and cheap alternative to other microphones Metal and especially not to cell.
