Tube preamp in the half-rack (a little area to put it in 19 "racks).
XLR and Jack in the back in front. Three-band EQ and a compressor that will tell ... touchy!

UTILIZATION
20/08/11:
Simple configuration when we had some light on the prior settings around the compressor.
For this, as there is no manual, I refer you to my trick "The manual Lunnar TP-01", which is based in fact on the SM Pro Audio TB101 is neither more nor less than that Lunnar a clone of the TP-01 that brings together two in a single 19 "(did I clear?).
7 / 10, because the use is beyond reproach but that information is never superfluous on a few specific functions.
SOUND QUALITY
20/08/11:
The color ranges from "almost not at all" to "positively charged". Everything depends on the settings of input and output knobs. It is not entirely clear, but it can be a heat almost vulgar when you push the limits.
The EQ is very effective, and handle appropriately.
The compressor also requires some practice. Its range is important as parameters ratio, attack and release times are fixed ... a peak. But the rate of compressed audio, it is really influenced by the potentiometer dedicated to him (hard to explain, sounds speak louder than words can describe).
Breath, it can be problematic, because the acute bring. We must try to remain just below their pre-eminence, and then try to treat them like me at the mixer.
7 / 10 because you have to tame it a bit anyway.
OVERALL OPINION

Two years of use, to give to my level Tbone RM700 ribbon mic. As it is soft knee issue chest, makes up the Lunnar properly, and I'm pretty happy with the result. For many more, I would not have to worry about taming the breath, but I have not much more expensive to put in there for now.
I also tried to stick a guitar (Telecaster MIK) and low (Hofner Violin). Neither one nor the other I was totally convinced, only the Tele allowed the preamp to make a little better out of the game
In short, it's what I kindly request me without a problem. It was with this ribbon mic a noise footprint that is more color on the palette of what I'm trying to compose. It was the goal, it is achieved.
Under the same conditions, and for the same specifications, why not repeat that choice, because otherwise it is expected to save and buy better. There's no secret.
