I bought this sound card for the number of entries (although I did not need much at the moment but you never know ...), and most importantly, the fact that the mic inputs are amplified (+ 30 dB), therefore, a priori, no need for mic preamps.
I use it to record vocals, piano, guitar and bass live without using amplifiers. and I must say I'm pretty happy with the result. I mastered all that with Cubase SX and it runs pretty well. I'm on an Acer Aspire T160 computer with 1GB of RAM.

UTILIZATION

The drivers are stable but apparently not often renewed and that is unfortunate. Latency is satisfactory for most records especially for the microphone inputs. I did not record more tracks at the same time, I do not know how the card handles the thing ...

GETTING STARTED

Easy installation fast, efficient, nickel what! No major incompatibility with the software I use (Cubase, Reason, Audacity ..., ASIO works well and is recognized for all the software mentioned above. The manual is clear and although a bit light you have to get on the internet when you want more detailed information

OVERALL OPINION

I use this card for just under a year and I am generally satisfied. the only concern is the sizzle that is present on the microphone inputs to +30 dB. I'm still not arrived to get rid of it and I really do not know how ... So, I may have to buy a preamp for the mic and that's what I wanted to avoid!
For this reason, I am a little disappointed, but for everything else and especially for its price, I recomande buying this card for anyone who wants to make music without taking itself too quiet the t ^ te. It is a good buy for beginners (like me).
