« A real treat! »

I think the dj t Describes CHARACTERISTICS have, so I'll plutt indicate how, in my opinion, it differs from other arrangers to be found in the same range of prices (between 1000 and 1500).
- Key semi-weighted with aftertouch, CHARACTERISTICS MODELS for premium.
- Systm amplification 2.1 (2 satellites + subwoofer active), giving a powerful and deep bass.
- Sound "mgavoices", a Yamaha exclusivity for simulating sounds of guitar and bass (the rsultats are really bluffing!).
- Large color screen, tilt (several positions) and contrast trs.
- Connectivity ultra complte: line and microphone inputs, many audio outputs, headphone jack, USB, MIDI (2 in, 2 out, 2 through), taken to three pedals, output video.
- Vocal harmony with multi-effects
- Hard drive for storing thousands of styles, and sounds squence
- 6 simultaneous multi-effects reverb + chorus + + + compressor equalizer: Yamaha dominated the competition in this area.
- Features MIDI keyboard matre trs compltes and customizable
- Trs squenceur 32 tracks, complete with display of the score and lyrics
- Sound editor ahead of PC
- And of course the sounds, styles and designs of professional quality.

In the same budget, we can compare MODELS Premium Used (Korg PA1X for example) that offer comparable CHARACTERISTICS (with a few tips and more and others less). .. MODELS or new mid-range (Yamaha PSR S710, Korg PA500), which offer - on paper - of sounds and styles of equivalent quality and often more current but are dpourvus aftertouch , have more limited multi-effects, look less "pro", a less powerful amplifier and lower quality and no hard drive. To each to see what he needs!

Two small CHARACTERISTICS BMOL to extraordinary (for me) of this keyboard:
- There is no sampling, which limits somewhat the possibilities of sound ... Fast Fashion There's dj but what to do with the internal samples, and everyone is interested by the sampling.
- There is no port for USB key or SD card, which is now on keyboards midrange. However, the prsence hard drive and USB "to host" compensate for this limitation.

Overall, for its CHARACTERISTICS, I put 9 / 10.

UTILIZATION

The manual, in French, is complete and trs dcoup in 2 parts (fast startup manual Retailer), as is often the case.
I have not had any difficulty appropriating the main functions of Tyros, partly because I had a PSR2000 before, which followed the same logic, but not only: I find the Yamaha keyboard g nralement simpler to use than other brands (I also had a Technics, Roland a two GEM and I play in a group on a Korg).
J'apprcie particulirement the "registration memory" that can mmoriser rglages all (style, sounds, effects, etc..) In the 8 buttons available on the screen: it is thus very s easy to change style or orchestration in-game, in real time. Much more flexible, got me, that the system of "performance" that offers most other brands.
J'apprcie also the great screen, which greatly facilitates the rglages, the edition of sounds and squence, especially the mix.
Online help multilingual (including franais) is a plus.

Small BMOL: the edition is fairly limited sound from the interface of Tyros. Fortunately Yamaha provides a utility for PC (and Mac I think): Tyros Voice Editor, which allows you to enter the publishing depth of sound. ACCS was then all the power of the engine sound of Tyros (the same as the SERIES MOTIF, the "MegaVoice" and more). There's also the utility "MegaVoice enhencer", which facilitates the use of sound "MegaVoice" (ultra ralistes but complex to use) into MIDI squence.

In short, to use, it's almost flawless for me. The report "performance / complexity of use" is excellent. A beginners would find probably too complex because of the number of buttons and menus, but you must be aware that this is a key "pro", even when that requires a minimum of training to be properly exploit. I put my 9 / 10, to express a user (for beginners, I would plutt 7 / 10).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 4 years. The models except I possds before, I have not tried many others. The PSR2000 liked me, so I knew I was taking little risk in buying a Tyros.
I have since tried other models, including the Korg (PA500, PA800), which I find quite sduisants (very good sound, can be more "characters" that sounds Yamaha), but their use seems less comfortable (I use also a PA50SD within a group and I confirm: the interface is much better on the Tyros, at least for my use).
What I like most / least: I have ben dj parl prcdemment then résumé to:
- The "plus": large color display, keyboard with semi-weighted aftertouch, amplification, ergonomics, quality and number of sounds (including MegaVoice) and styles, hard drive, many multi-effects, design "pro".
- The "less": no sampling, no USB port for cl / SD card.

I have used until now with great pleasure, for INTERPRETATION pieces in all styles and a bit to compose.
Following a change of course music, I intend to sell (sorry!) To go east over a keyboard computer music / synthse / electro music. If I could, I would keep in the Tyros keyboard or as complment matre, but I have no place ...

Of all the keyboards I possds the Tyros is by far given me the most satisfaction. If I had to buy an arranger keyboard today, with a budget of around 1000 euros or a little more, I certainly would do that choice. However, I found nine expensive, as it seems to be a bargain opportunity! 10/10.
