I've had two weeks and I do not regret my purchase. Available at approximately € 400 depending on the distributors.
Self-taught at "medium", which had not played for several years, I feel like itching for some time, and this keyboard is more than enough to do it again and continue to grow before reaching the limits.
61 softkeys (touch okay but not great), 627 sounds good overall, 140 styles. The sounds are not editable, but can change the effects (chorus, reverb, DSP effects like flanger, wah-wah, etc. ...), and set the superposition of two sounds and the effects on them.
6 sequencer tracks (enough to start or confirmed, but of course limited as soon as we begin to seriously master), and floppy drive to record their compositions in midi format, or import files MIDI (great for learning to play the pipe dream that we know how to play ...).
- Function "dictionary of agreements" which allows them to learn (in my opinion useless).
- Function "Music database" that allows you to select a blow to one sound and style that best suits the type of song you want to interpret (in my opinion useless).
- A simple way to stifle a party (right or left hand) of a song in midi imported via the floppy drive, to learn to play (in my opinion useless).
Connectivity classic sustain pedal, jack for amp, midi in and out.
Ability to memorize the "typical configurations" with sound, style, effects, which will be recalled with one touch (useful when playing and that we must quickly change sound)
Split keyboard with his left hand and his right hand (pre-selected sounds)
UTILIZATION
The manual is quite well done and has few pages. We find quickly what you seek.
The menus and navigation are organized the same way that most Yamaha keyboards of the same generation: we like it or not.
Personally, I do not know and after a period of adaptation is being done, and ultimately, we can appreciate the limited number of buttons.
OVERALL OPINION
To conclude:
- Value / great price
- Ideal for beginner or "average" (assuming such a type and a mix of Mozart sacred sound engineer is a very good)
- Too bad (unless I am not a big shot who can not find how) we can not change the preset sounds for the keyboard split.
