The new Lauten Eden LT-386 is a large diaphragm tube microphone that uses the Multi-Voice proprietary technology which, thanks to a switch located on the body of the mic, allows for choosing between cardioid, omnidirectional and Figure-8 polar patterns. A switch high-pass filter is also available, along with a third switch requested by Fab Dupont that changes the color of the sound (Forward, Neutral and Gentle). These three options make Eden a polyvalent, yet vintage-inspired, microphone, that can be used with many sources, from vocals to drums.
First technical details state that the Eden will host a Lauten modified dual-diaphragm 31.21mm capsule, a US transformer on the output, an EF86 or pentode equivalent tube, a nickel plated head and a semi-permanent shockmount, another Fab Dupont’s idea.
The Eden LT-386 will be available in June for the US price of $3,999.
