That static condenser microphone, wide membranne and tube preamp. It comes with a specific diet, provided with a potentiometer directivity.

It is a micro-oriented song, with a strong personality and a very large presence.

I use it with the original lamp.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since 2005.

I used a few microphones before which a static.

The SCT2000 was for me a true revolution because it is a static present, warm and musical, let's say like a U87, and that for the price of an AKG C3000 rotten.
It comes with the box, the pop screen, it is luxurious.

I still love the sound that much a. He has an impressive presence. It is very smooth in the highs. If he has a little too sharp for my taste, but it is not too flashy so far, it's still very musical. I like to use it for vocal parts. Another positive point: it can be used as supplemental heating in winter.

Now the negatives:
- It has problems (in my opinion) on the transient
- It is very rough in the lower medium
- It makes a lot of treble, which is going well in magnetic analog, but much less in a digital recorder. So do not hesitate to cut up the ax, but from experience it is difficult to resolve quickly and this poses a problem of general equilibrium sound
- It is not necessarily best suited for certain voice too nasal (like mine) (I recently discovered that my Electrovoice RE20 probably more appropriate)

In the end these few negative points, and especially the next draft in mid-bass and the problem of transients are we can hardly be considered a professional microphone. Always beware and be very attentive to what happens in the sound.

Perhaps by changing the tube model that can help, I found that many do, there must be a reason besides being fun.

Rapoport The money is phenomenal.

I am delighted to have taken a long way with SCT2000 but I think I will not use it too.
