Published on 09/23/11 at 14:01Copy of the Gibson Les Paul 'Black Beauty' with a Floyd Rose type chevlet and the system of Fernandes sustainer
In which country was it made? (United States, Japan, Mexico, France ...)
Bought in Japan but made in China I think.
What type of bridge (Floyd, Wilkinson ...)?
Equipped with a Floyd Rose type tremolo
What types of micro and their configuration?
2 humbucker including side handle with sustainer
What are the settings (volume, tone, micro switch ...)?
1 1 volume 1 tone 3-position selector switch for the sustainer a selector to choose a "Sustain" and "Harmonics"
UTILIZATION
The handle is it fun? Excellent
Ergonomics is it good (in terms of shape, weight ...)? As a true Gibson
Access to acute (recent freight) is it easy? Yes
Do you get a good sound easy? For me yes
SOUNDS
They are suitable to your style of music? Absolutely. This model of guitar I've spotted at a concert of one of my favorite guitarists, Steve Hackett, former guitarist of Genesis. I thought he swore by Gibson, I had noticed on one occasion he played on Fernandes but later he used this guitar with incredible performance. As the guitarist influenced me a lot and that I attack his regular pieces I chose this guitar. Happily
OVERALL OPINION
How long have you use it? 2 years
Have you tried many other models before buying it? It is the successor to my Godin LGX SA whose handle started to crack unfortunately.
What is so special that you like most and least? The sustainer system is really great. It can hold a note indefinitely (as long as the battery holds out!)
How would you rate the quality / price? There is no better. Commissioned in Japan, I added when ordering a rigid body to make sure it supports the trip without incident. I arrived home from the discharge of a customs duty. Guitar + shipping + tax + box all for just under 900 euros. Compared to a Black Beauty there is no picture
With experience, you do again this choice? Immediately! Besides, I am ordering a type Burny Gibson 335, the Burny RSA 65, she arrived in a few days. I hope to be as satisfied with my RLC
