Simpsons guitars and things in Edinburgh. Cost: £280. Tried out a couple guitars then i spotted this one, gave it a go and just fell in love.

The finish (Heritage Cherry or something), is amazing, looks the absolute business. The neck is smooth, comfortable and the guitar has good action. The pick-ups do their job excellently, you can coax a hell of a lot of sounds outta it.

The strap lock beside the neck broke and the other looks on it's way out but i got it fixed no bother for free. The pick-up selector broke off too.

Rosewood neck - flawless. The body is a little light but i like that, great for gigs. The pots are good, give a great range of sounds, lots of variation. The finish is …

Sounds great, especially for rocking out some killer riffs or grating power chords, yet still versatile. You cant ask for a best guitar for this price.

For Christmas, C&C Music Center, Hazelton, PA. It has very good sound and is very good to play. I think it cost some where around $1200.

It sounds great and it has great action and good resonance.

Nothing really. It is a little heavy but that is what but that is what it gives it great sound.

Neck through construction. Mahoghany body. Alnico humbuckers.

Awesome guitar, an affordable Les Paul. Great sound, great action. Buy it!!!!!

Recently bought from a music shop in my local town, was shop demo model,I got it for a snip at £600 with a gig bag and 3 packs of strings. The guitar was manufactured in Nov 2000 so is still pretty new.

In the band I'm in, it calls for lots of rock and roll/ blues type riffs and chords. This guitar makes some wonderful rich tones when played. It sounds great in either clean or overdrive. When you really rock it it sounds like a well tuned ferrari! I play it through a Fender Deluxe 90 and they really compliment each other.

It is so easy to hold, being lighter than the standard Les Pauls and is a real dream to play. I recently changed to this from a semi-acoustic and the difference is amazing, no more arm or finger strain. The fingerboard action and bridge set up make this guitar effortless to play, even for long rehearsals.

I agree with the nitro-cellulose finish being a little soft and easily marked but other than that I LOVE IT!

Mine is Ruby Red with gold hardware. It has the Alnico humbucker pickups with the new "hot" treble pickup which is a real belter.
Typically of Gibson the instrument oozes quality and the Ruby Red with its multi-layed laquer finish still shows the grain of the maple top. It looks fabulous.

I've always wanted to own a Gibson and now I do, I am not disappointed. I'd recommend this guitar to anyone. I'm keeping mine forever!

I got the guitar off e-bay for 600 bucks. The first thing that caught my eye was the classy and sleek look of the guitar.

This guitar is packed with tone. I got the one with the ebony fretboard, and this thing has a ton of bite to it. It sounds just as good if not better than any standard or classic ive ever played. It is also one of the nicest guitars to play.

There are just a couple of little things i dont like about it. First, Gison's nitrocellulose finish had a reaction with the rubber on the guitar stand, turnigh the white into brown, but only in the back and bottom where the stand touched. Another bad thing is the strings don't pass over the center of the saddles, which limits…

The construction is great. Its very sturdy and rarely needs to be set-up. I wouldnt say it's as sturdy as a telecaster, but pretty damn close.

An all around great guitar. It's way cheaper than a standard, and it sounds the same and plays better. The white finish with gold hardware is very nice. The most important thing is it has a huge sound, with enough bite to let your leads shine through.

    Mars the Musicians Planet, 379.00

I have spent the past 14 years "tinkering" with guitars. By "tinkering" I mean that I never took any formal lessons and would just pick up things here and there to play. 1 year ago I decided to get serious about learning and playing so I decided to buy my first NEW electric guitar. As soon as I entered the store I spotted my baby amongst a wall of other ax's. Transluscent black with white binding and black hardware. I pulled it off the wall and plugged it in and played what little I knew. It sounded amazing and played like it was made just for me.

As soon as I entered the store I spotted my baby amongst a wall of other ax's. Transluscent black with white binding and black hardware. I pulled it off the wall and plugged it in and played what little I knew. It sounded amazing and played like it was made just for me.

To be fair, I played a Gibson Les Paul Standard, a Fender Strat, and a handful of Ibanez, Washburn, and Jackson guitars. None could compare to the Epiphone for the overall package.

It originally came with a clear plastic pick guard. Epiphone sells replacements, but when I looked for one I found them all a little cheesy looking. I talked the salesman into giving me one off of a Gibson LP that was being returned for damage. I had to trim it a little with an Xacto knife, but once I got it on there it looked great.

I read and hear alot of complaints about the weight, although it is a little heftier than some other guitars, I find the weight comfortable.

The only construction defaults I have found are three small dimples in the finish, but you really have to look to find them.

If you are considering buying an Epiphone Lp, BEWARE OF GREEN TUNING PEGS.
Also, you should invest in a Quick Lok guitar strap system as the stock strap pegs on the Epiphones tend to be a little smaller than the norm.

My Epiphone Les Paul is perfect. Great sound, smooth playability, versatile, great looking and affordable. I have yet to find a sound I can't get with my Epiphone and it holds a tuning like you would not believe. It makes playing and learning fun. I get alot of compliments on it.

Purchased new at Guitar Center, San Marcos, CA.
    Price paid: $989

Why: Always wanted one and finally got it !

Where do I start ? The guitar looks, sounds and plays without equal. The one I bought is Wine Red with Gold Trim and full pearl inlays (no dots) and is beautiful (why do they say the Studio model isn't nice enough to play on stage ???).

The action is light and very predictable from fret to fret. Overall construction is very solid and appears flawless. The pickups aren't especially noisy, and the hardware is all very solid.

Sound is, well, it's a Les Paul - nothing else needs to be said ! It has a full, distinct sound with years of sustain (OK, maybe only hours !). Ad…

Sound is, well, it's a Les Paul - nothing else needs to be said ! It has a full, distinct sound with years of sustain (OK, maybe only hours !). Add some distortion and it rips !!! Plug it directly into the amp and you get a beautiful clean sound.

I think I better tell my wife that I'm in love with my guitar !

One minor complaint: The tuning peg on the third (G) string, while feeling smooth, is hard to "tweak" to get the string exactly in tune. I have to assume it's the peg and not the string or other hardware. When I bring the guitar in for the first string change (I like to do that with new guitars, don't ask me why), I'll have the technician look at it.

As I said above, it's awesome ! This is my sixth "real" guitar (I'm counting my Gibson SG, Fender, Takamine, Ibanez and Yamaha) plastic ones don't count) and by far the best constructed of the bunch. It also looks and sounds better than any of the others (and I LOVE my SG !).

If you can afford it, buy it. Nothing else to say.

    Long & McCuade,
    Oshawa, ON, Canada
Christmas Present from girlfriend (now wife-how could I let her go?)
    ~$1400 CDN

I love the look of the Les Paul, and the studio has a very clean look to it.
Mine is black with gold hardware.
I love the sound I get when I combine it with my Marshall amp.
I like the weight. I have always liked heavy guitars

The strap holder things. I had a huge problem of the strap always letting go from the holder close to the neck. Sometimes I like to lift the neck of the guitar up and the strap just lets go. Good thing I always had a hand on the neck. Got a set of strap-locks, problem solved.

    Solid. No complaints here.

I bought my Gibson LP Studio 6 months ago. The reason I decided on Gibson was name and quality. I purchased it new, for AUS$2000.

The tone and look, classic LP, wine red, with gold hardware, looks amazing under lights. Gibson sustain. The notes ring out long after the last strum.

Solid body, mahogany with maple top. Gibson are renown for their guitars.

First instrument I've owned that didn't halve in value the moment I left the store.

I've dropped it, thrown it onto planes, played it until my fingers were raw, and it's still making me sound better than I am.

The guitar is very well setup and the construction is great. It works very well with effect and can give a great grooowl with my ProCo Turbo Rat. Quite fast neck

Although the body of the guitar itsel is very robust, I've only had the guitar a year and serious problems are arising. For instance, my fingers now get caught on the perloid inlays as they are beginning to sink; the pick-up selector swith is buggered and the finish is wearing thin on the neck. Also, the neck pickup is fine clean, but DO NOT use it with distortion. VeRy unpleasant! Just become incomprehensible noise!

Good construction quality; although had to superglue to tune-o-matic to keep it intonated well. Good woods used for the money - maple with mahogany core.

This guitar is good for a few things and only a few. It excels with some effects, sounds horrible with others. However, nothing perfect for this money, and Les-Pauls are supposed to be muddy I suppose

I purchased this guitar from a music store called City Music in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. I had to travel two hours to get it and I paid $700 for it. I bought this particular guitar because I really wanted to buy a Les Paul but there was no way I could afford the real thing. I was actually browsing through an old music magazine of my brothers and I came across an advertisement for Epiphone guitars. I actually was really impressed aesthetically by the sunburst looking one but no where in Australia could I find this particular color. Anyway I settled with a beautiful cherry red.

As I mentioned I really love the look of this guitar as it is both really "rock" and "glam" looking. It is also very playable with a nice action and a great feel. I find that you can also achieve a really heavy sound especially when you kick in both humbuckers.

The only thing that I do not like about this guitar is that it is quite light but then again sometimes that can be a positive especially during gigs.

The basic construction is rosewood fingerboard, cherry red cosmetics, 3 way selector switch, two chrome humbucking pickups, two volume and two tone controls both in translucent black. Also it has a bolt on neck.

A great looking guitar for somebody that basically likes to rock out those power cords and appreciates the heavier side of music. But that's not to say its not a versatile guitar as it can quite comfortably handle the melodic clean sounds all the way to some honky tonk country.

The humbuckers are really nice. Sounds great on everything from light to heavy distortion. I'm into a lot of different types of music, and this thing can replicate styles from Zeppelin to Metallica to Pearl Jam to Creed to, well, you get the idea. Great great buy.

The tone knob (there's a volume and tone for both pickups) for the bridge pickup is a little screwy (it's loose and misaligned). I can fix that in a couple minutes by getting to it through the back. I'll probably do that one of these days, but the knob still functions fine so I've never bothered. I had a lot of problems with the pickup switch. It cut out really bad. (Probably why the original owner got rid of it) That problem was fixed when I had a guitar tech re-solder the switch in, and haven't had a single problem since.

I'm really confident in this guitar. It's not a bolt on neck, so that should stay put for quite some time. It is very light, but well built. It'd probably be pretty easy and fun to stage smash, but I can't afford to do that. :) Well put together little beast. The input jack comes loose once in a while, but that happens to almost any guitar. Easily tightened.

If you ever have the opportunity to buy this guitar used, take it as soon as possible. You might want to think a little before putting down 600 dollars, but I can guarantee that it'll do anything you want it to do. It's necks a little wide and it is a little difficult to reach the extremely high frets, so I might not recommend it if you are gonna be playing insane solos on the 22 fret, but it's definitely worth owning.

against by small snag (c pk I put 9) is the weight ... as a dab. so if you have not the breadth of a logger quebecquois is not worth it! lourde.disons it is bad it needs to do the 4 kg ds.
Access in acute is limited because of the handle becomes very large and is not Designed for.
sound research that is very quickly thanks to the pots have a condition that goes with the amp.

    SOUNDS

Then I note for the epiphone, do not believe that a is the gibson or others, is a guitar ds a range of relatively low price (533euros).
its fatty make you cry, crunch hot ass acute soft clear sound is not its strong punch, even if it is destructive in a coaching position with serious blues, it seems to be at the TElement serious bass tones sounds good.
one of the best in the epiphone I pense.les the models above is only a better bill "aesthetic" we say. eg les paul custom epiphone.meme if I find it so beautiful.

    OVERALL OPINION

I am the User for 1 year now. jaime especially the mouth, it is magnifique.quand we see we have only one desire that is to take ds his arms and kiss him! the sound is great, c quite what I was looking for.
it is one of the first epiphone and I jessayai tt on t RAPORT conquered by others.
jai tried the Fender Start, the washburn, ibanez and the jackson and this one I ocnvient best. In any case the two brands speak and even if relatively conait his style of music we know where to turn.
The report price is very good quality I think, especially with Gibson pickups.
With experience, java not be expected to have 300 euro more ds and I invested the same pattern ... Used but in ny Gibson.je think it's nothing like the opportunity. as long as the instrument does well maintained. think of it before you buy anything, or guitar amp. and even for the effects.

This is convenient because you can really deepen your and do it with precision and a 3 position selector, micro ryhtme to accentuate your serious, normal, and treble to accentuate the micro acute.

I put 9 because of the country of manufacture ...

    UTILIZATION

Boah the handle fits easily in the hand is no problem to get your agreements in the end run, but I knew better. Since all access to the latest lespaul frets and not very easy to jusk'a You can mount the 17th in line but after c hotter .. Nivo weight is lighter than in gibson (different timber). Nivo's is easily obtained but after that depends on type of kel ampliu you play.

    SOUNDS

In terms of sound it is perfect for style I play (ska / reggae), it is a fairly versatile qd even scratched but beware the sharp are not her strong point but not its weak point ..

I play with a laney hcm65, one of Marshall Jh-1, a Boss DS-1 (classic) and a Cry Baby Dunlop.

Personally I prefer this serious scratches that are severe acute because its powerful enough for my taste compared to acute

    OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 5 months I bought OCCAZ. The sound is ok though I do not necessarily do it again because this choice MODELS epiphone these tend to reduce the quality of the accessories (jack, knobs, switches) that can over time become really unbearable.

In conclusion it is a good guitar and very versatile in nivo prcise sound settings
