Gibson makes the United States, she wants a version "less luxurious" of the "Standard"
Body and handle (al mahogany, rosewood fingerboard, 2 humbuckers Gibson 498T & 490R served by 2 vol and 2 tone. Fixed bridge, slecteur 3 positions, mechanical Gibson Deluxe.
Mine is a specially SERIES, black hardware with a touch dor especially bne.
It's really short but dpouill aa charm.

UTILIZATION

Ergonomics is the main problem of this guitar: no bevels, guitar poorly balance (ct leans right), weight consquent, sharp enough to not so good.
In points ngatifs it should be noted also that the mcaniques in that they are not autoblacantes, impose many racordages and the microphones slecteur quite difficult to ACCS.
However for the comfort it's perfect left hand (in my case).
This is the second time I find one that suits me perfectly round as though the guitars I've tried many (Vigier, Lag, United States Jackson, Music Man, ESP, Fender, Ibanez). THE FIRST c'tait with a Music Man silhouette.
All the plans that did not go out on my Lag Beast pass here without problem, it's amazing how a simple change of scratches can affect the game

SOUNDS

The sound is with the comfort of the handle my main selection criteria in the purchase of a scratch, and I can say that a ring!
the microphone produces sound serious round and warm, ideal for plain phrass jazz as saturated. Intermdiaire position is exploitable in many books but gives her best even for its rhythmic and arpges clear.
The bridge is sending double the sauce, it is not done too much for clean sounds, however saturated by the sounds are trs beautiful, round and fat.
There is just saturated mtal trs o he loses a little precision, but I think a change of micro dsagrment overcome this.
In the absence of split, the sound palette is quite limited and limmite styles temperatures requiring the roundness in the sound, which is not a problem since I have not bought to funk.

OVERALL OPINION

This is an excellent guitar, with all its "small" default.
The sound and comfort of the handle to outweigh its lack of ergonomics.
The Les Paul has his characters who Difference from all other guitars and that's good. It complte Fawn idalie a stratum for which a search for sounds ct dlicats and the other sounds plush and drooling.
Regarding the price, correct a few years ago, it became a bit expensive (1500).
On the other hand used it must surely be some good deals.
