I bought my Gibson Les Paul there just two months on ebay for about 1800 euros fdp Twann and taxes included.
This is a standard "50's neck" of 2004.
The table is sublime in heritage cherry sunburst, flamed slightly (with a bright light but slightly subdued the flames stand out even more, and the contrast between the colors too, aaaaahh! It boooooooo !!!!... ..)

UTILIZATION

The handle type is very comfortable 50's, 60's a more rounded. (I prefer) but overall I found the sleeves a little less comfortable gibson the fender.
The rosewood fingerboard is nice, but also requires a little adaptation from a maple handle, fingers glide so well.
Access to acute is the weak point of the instrument, the weight and the abscence of muzzle, too, the ease of playing is nothing like a fender for example.
8 So I would put no more but certainly not least, for a time the first notes sent, well, comfort, trust me, we no longer have much time to think about it! (We will come back ...)

SOUNDS

Sound monstrous, very hot. The power of humbuckers is immense, and in all possible configurations. Because contrary to popular belief, the les paul is very versatile. Blues, rock / Hd rock, jazz or more sounds, it performs well in all situations. The crunch is good to cry, the sustain is endless, and when we send the sauce into a Marshall, you say that it will still be hard to beat.

But I would not say "this is the best." This type of sound, beautiful, but that does not allow any play, despite its relative versatility. Try playing an old Dire Straits and you will see that you will be next to the plate. All that to say, think carefully about what you want to play, and beware of remarks like "yeah it's crap fender next to Gibson" (and vice versa!)
I put 9 of 10 since the gibson does not sum up in itself the sound of an electric guitar.

OVERALL OPINION

It's been two months now that I bought it, and I think to keep it all my life.
The price is obviously very high, although for my part, having bought on ebay, I'm pretty shot, but I took some time before I decide, as I see it as a long-term investment .

From the aesthetic point of view, the instrument of unparalleled beauty, the table Flamée and color magic, light years away from other guitars!
The sound is obviously the ultimate all in one marshall (hard rock type) in a fender deluxe reverb type '(type blues).

It's a mythical instrument just like a '52 tele eg.
Anyway, if you're feeling about to fall for this type of scraper, so let yourself go, it's worth it!

(That is like good wine, it can only improve with time!)
