«  A real Les Paul! »

Guitar Made in USA. Corp mahogany, maple, maple neck profile 50 C's.
23 boxes. 498T pickups in the bridge and 490R in the neck. 3 positions 2 volume and tone knobs.

UTILIZATION

The handle is a pure treat. It is incredibly soft, touch and super nice and the golf round with astonishing ease. The balance of the guitar sitting or standing is perfect. We feel that it's Gibson, nothing to do with multiple copies (and my father in a deluxe ESP eclipse so I know what I said). The original settings are perfect except the height of the pickups a bit too pronounced.

SOUNDS

So far I played on a Ibanez RG 1998 fitted with a micro Gibson classic 57 Chavalet. The sounds are very close. The 498T is quite trivial but accurate in clean but finds its full power as soon as you attack the crunch or distortion. It exudes a certain typical heat Les Paul is widely embellished by the wood used in this guitar. This is exactly the same as a studio. So we attack a little good old rock as pure metal taking his foot. The dual position it is effective clean with his flashy kind telecaster but with the roundness of the Les Paul. in saturated against it did not convince me, the mixture of the two micro gives accurate sound but no personality. The 490R when his sound is pure Gibson. It is bold, crisp, a perfect balance. Play blues, blues rock type or big solo is pure bliss and becomes even more clean his foot or his jacket takes corp and heart. It's just perfect.

In short it was THE sound with these pickups that gibson find yourself on many models like the custom, the studio or a large part of SG. By far the best sound I've had in 15 years of guitar (Telecaster apart as unique).

OVERALL OPINION

Let's talk about finishes. The guitar is beautiful but blank except for the table and handle covered with a light glaze (hyper pleasant to the touch) the rest is rough around the edges and the grain of the wood above the back of the guitar we perceive. Some will not like at all when other worship. All around me find it very beautiful. If the hardware ensures mechanical as that do not move from one ply and are very accurate. I noticed still a small burr on the shaft at the joint sleeve / button, nothing very frightening but I still accurate. If the bell is disgusting, this big white YPA is horrible, I personally have returned. Too bad we do not also have the signature "Les Paul" on the studio as it replaces.

I think I have said everything, this guitar has nothing to envy to its large souurs, it inherits the same qualities, you just take into account that the varnish and small chatouillerie are not present. this is a raw guitar.

In short do not listen to the other troll who created several account to the old troll, the YPA in 2013 is a real Les Paul and I took a huge walk with this guitar less than 600 euros!
