A feast for the eyes and ears
Published on 12/08/10 at 09:50 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Tokai LS150, Made In Japan, manufactured in 2009
Slightly rounded but thin enough (perfect for my small mimine)
Channel 22 frets
2 humbucker pickups (2 Seth Lover on mine)
4 knobs, 2 vol and 2 tona.
3 position selector 1: Rhythm (neck pickup / bridge pickup + neck pickup or Trebble (bridge pickup).
UTILIZATION
The interface is well respected was a good LP, is also open book of the game. It is not too heavy (4kgs and dust) but it must be even favored a wide strap for the game standing.
Access to acute course is not the forte of a Les Paul but this does not shock me.
Easily get a good sound, very generous in saturation or in very nice crunch and clean

SOUNDS
This being my first scratch guitar (after 4 years of acoustic), I explore slowly (but surely!) The tonal palette that offers me. I play a bit of everything, it is well suited to Blues, Pop, Rock. Easily get a good clean but it is in saturation as the beautiful fully expressed.
I played on a Vox AC4 TV (flat requires), but sometimes I can make it scream in a good old JTM 45 and it is pure happiness!
OVERALL OPINION
I use for about 7 months. I tried a bunch of LP before choosing my Tokai, and I asked my mimine on a Gibson Custom, but the price I was disgusted, I also tested Standard (3) but I noticed that finishes were not best pies. Then I stumbled on this Tokai with its magnificent golden robe, which has sounded wonderful, so I cracked.
What I love about this guitar finishes and sound without a doubt, what I like least, perhaps the fact that after 4 hours of playing good even with a good strap the weight of the beast begins to felt.
If I had the choice again, I would do without hesitation.
