Published on 05/16/12 at 13:31I use it for 5 months
I was very disappointed by the nanoKEY Korg (USB Welding fucked in 3 months use quite normal). Starting a call for 2 years with a minimum scrict stuff, I start on this Korg nanoKONTROL 2.
The most:
- Prettier than the Series 1
- The faders and knobs are precise etonamant (A value near)
- Really cheap for what it can do
- In the air (I say "looks") More than 1 series caustaud
- Easy installation on most DAW (And congratulations to the editor of Korg) but ...
Cons:
- Natively not compatible with FL Studio. That is to say that the buttons and cursors will track does nothing because it will not be recognized by Fl Studio. Image Line fault or Korg? I do not know but I find it rather shameful that this kind of device to be recognized in most DAW except FL Studio ... So I use the transport keys and I manually assigned my knob and fader.
- Not designed for live (to public), for trying it's really not that necessary, to toy but it's cool with tiny knob is complicated.
- Faders and knob that this is a trend but a helping Bare glue and it's over.
Noted that the Series 2 works completely differament the 1 series.
FL on the one I'd recommend because it has 4 scene parameterizable
Go for it on other Korg you kindly made your presets.
In conclusion Quality / Price unbeatable although played with Korg quality materials / construction.
I remake it without hesitating choice because its been 5 months I use it a lot more than my first and everything works nanoKEY nickel.
He has all these small issues but surmountable.
€ 49 for one throw or have a small controller is given.
Provided you take care
Edit: Image Line should make comptatible natively nanoKONTROL The two before its next Upd, the 10.5
