An editor for the Roland JP-8000 and JP-8080
Mystery Islands will soon launch a VST and AU plugin for Mac that allows for MIDI controlling the Roland JP-8000 and JP-8080.
Designed in partnership with Arto Vaarala, the editor plugin is now is beta version on Mac 32 and 64-bit, Windows versions haven't been tested yet.
The editor will not generate any sound, it is only designed to control the Roland JP-8000 and JP-8080 synths from your DAW. It also allows for editor both layers directly in a single plugin window, send and receive MIDI and Sysex messages between the DAW and the synth (requires a MIDI interface) and edit most of the features. The automation is also supported.
Please note that the plugin will not be able to save patches directly on the synth, access the vocal modulator parameters, nor select the external inputs (but you can do it directly on the synth).
The editor will be available at the latest on May 2013 and will be sold 49.95€. Mystery Islands is still working on various parameters and is testing the RTAS, AudioSuite and AAX versions.
