Lower the luthier Sebastien Aquilina, based in France (35).
Driver Channel 24 cases, thin frets (like the Jazz Bass)
Hardware:
Mechanical Gotoh
Bridge Hipshot Type A
Schaller Strap Lock
Output Jack
XLR
Level Electronics:
2 Delano SBC6 ET / S
E-Pro Preamp BTC 01
Micro balance
Tone (passive only)
Switch active / passive
Switch pickup (double / single serial / parallel range single)
Switch neck pickup (double / single number / single parallel range)
UTILIZATION
This bass is really suited my needs, the handle is a real highway, really enjoyable to play. Access to acute is exemplary, a smooth cut is made at the back of the neck (at the junction with the body), which makes the exercise easier.
In terms of weight, it is rather light for a 6 string, it balanced perfectly.
Once the electronic capture, it becomes really easy to find the sound you need.
SOUNDS
I was looking for a bass that can send severe on large metal rhythm, while allowing me to play quickly Permutt passages sweet funky.
Everything is possible, thanks to the splitter ajonction micro I can have the desired sound in all circumstances. The neck pickup in series when I need to engrave this, the bridge in series to the slap. I spend every single play of Jaco! Everything sounds and more quickly.
If the grave is huge slap (just the technique of choice in the bass).
The game is really comfortable on the finger, no need for a big buggers sound, every nuance Egeler are allowed.
OVERALL OPINION
I've had a little less than six months, and it has changed a lot of things in my playing but also in my approach to the instrument. This is my first low premium and I must say that I do not regret anything.
I took it for its look and sound.
I tried a dozen brands (Ibanez, Warwick, GMR, Mayon ,....) before I decide and I must say it again if I do it again without hesitation.
Without thinking my next bass (probably a 7-string) will be a Shelby égalemnet!
