XOX Audio Tools announces a new version of the Handle, its revolutionary carbon fiber guitar.
Improvements include a choice of inlays, the Handle’s sleek black carbon fiber fretboards come standard with the single-dot inlay, a sharp 12th fret marker in mother of pearl; or as an optional add-on the zig-zag inlay, an electrifying white resin design. The Handle also now comes with a truss rod to give the musician the chance to adjust the set up for his individual playing style.
According to XOX, carbon fiber offers a much wider harmonic range than wood. The extreme rigidity of this material combined with the Handle’s mono-chassis construction favors perfect transmission of acoustic vibrations for everlasting sustain. Its hollow section creates a resonance chamber for extra warmth. Carbon fiber is ultra light and resistant, thus it won’t bend or deform under high temperatures or humidity.
The Handle boasts a slim neck, 24 frets, light weight, and a concave body, all of which aim at favoring playing speed and comfort. The all European construction begins with the highly skilled carbon lay-up process, and is decked out with top of the line American components.
The Handle has won the ‘Good Design’ award from the Chicago Athenaeum Museum, and NAMM 2008’s ‘Most Innovative Product” award.
