Aly James has momentarily left synths and video game soundchips to work on the Elastic EL-2 virtual auto-bend effect pedal.
Under its Boss-like pedal design, Elastic EL-2 is a VST based on a Bucket Brigade Delay but instead of generating a classic Delay or Chorus effect, a peak detection circuit triggers an envelope that modulates the very short delay time. It results an auto-bend effect with a note that will progressively reach its pitch.
Aly James adds that the Elastic EL-2 plug-in can also generate other types of effects, such as flanges for instance.
The Elastic EL-2 will be available as a VST plug-in for Windows. Here is the first teaser posted by Aly James today:
