Hello,
This is an acoustic guitar simulator, I understand. It connects a guitar and it should sound like a good old folk.
The rest is the boss, standard, solid, etc., but the color is pretty ugly .. -2
UTILIZATION
The connection is very simple: IN / OUT
The settings have some effect, but I'm not convinced. They are quite "effective" in that they correspond to what is said of the record.
I am very disappointed by the differences that appear when changing position pickups on the guitar (eg humbucker -> split or single coil -> middle position). All settings become obsolete.
SOUND QUALITY
As said above: no respect for the personality of the guitar. Finally, as is supposed to simulate a different type of acoustic resonance, it is rather normal.
Indeed, the sounds that come out 'evoke' the sounds of acoustic guitar. But I'm really not at all convinced.
You lose with this pedal, all the versatility, personality, grain and subtle playing a guitar. As said, it evokes the sound, but it will never allow to replace.
I tried it on guitars micro single or double.
** One thing that I have not tried it, and I'd like to try if someone wants to stick to it, plug it into an electric guitar piezo. I think that as the sound is fairly neutral, this pedal could ptre well give it more scale type sound ... To see .. **
OVERALL OPINION
Outside the piezo test that I try, I was very disappointed by this pedal. It's a gadget. So maybe with the chorus and delay another one can come up with something fun. For me, it will never replace a small folk, even to pay the same price as the pedal (well, this is not the same size!)
So I may redeem one day when / if I become the happy owner of a piezo-electric. Otherwise, no thank you, no way.
