Smappsoft announced that Scales & Modes for iPad, a mobile interactive guide to music theory, is now available in the iTunes App Store.
Scales & Modes for iPad is an iPad native version of the Scales & Modes iPhone app, optimized for use with the larger screen and specific user interface of the iPad.
Diatonic scales and modes are one of the fundamental concepts of Western music theory, and are important for all musicians. But the large number of possible scales makes learning and remembering them very difficult. Scales & Modes for iPad is a mobile audio and visual reference guide to a large number of diatonic scales and modes, including all the modes of the major, natural minor, and harmonic minor scales.
Scales are displayed on the musical staff, as well as on fingering diagrams for keyboard and guitar, and can be audibly played back with adjustable tempo.
