Value For Money :
Excellent
MODEL OF 2009
Body and top Masonite (pressed wood)
Bolt maple neck with dual action trussrod
Rosewood 21 frets
Lipstick single coil pickups x 2
6 adjustable bridge saddles
Volume controls, tone and pickups 3 position switch
Marine hardware sandblasted nickel.
Finish: Black Limo
The joint cream is a rotten strip of plastic that will quickly get the mail in my opinion.
UTILIZATION
The handle is nice and round. The satin finish is soft and good hand slips.
For a guitar whose body is hollow I find it a bit heavy unless a Les Paul anyway.
Buttons (selector knobs) fall well in hand when you play, no problem of ergonomics.
The attachment of the strap is located on the rib of the body at the neck and will require a thin strap to hang it, forget the big straplocks.
setting intonation is very good. The setting of the action is less well head screws have a diameter bastard (like 1.7 mm), I had to make a key.
When the setting trusrod is hell, as on vintage strats you must remove the handle to access the screws and remount the handle retune the 12 string to check if it's good (and repeat the action until 'the right result).
SOUNDS
The sound is good according to the configuration, I opted for a 7-band equalizer BOSS for a softer and more consistent.
Mics mug attack well but they accentuate slightly the G string. That slap a little too much for my taste but can be mitigated by lowering the tone. The neck pickup and the bridge is not the same so we made several sonic possibilities, it's going to slam the deaf with the tone to zero.
The lipsticks are unique in form and it will be difficult to replace.
Ultimately, if you want to hear the sound of Led Zep Kashmir hear is exactly that, but the Birds or radiohead works very well too.
OVERALL OPINION
Is good for the price. We will say that it could claim 450 euros, it would be fairly priced.
In short we must try it to see whether it will, but if your budget does not stretch, you do not have too many choices ...
it's still a good guitar. Some finishes and changes would be welcome by the manufacturer.
I think it's still a good investment, the sound of this guitar out of a mix really well. Pending Rickenbaker ... Excellent
