«  a good compromise »

Published on 06/18/11 at 01:35
Reissue Hofner Galaxy
Chinese Manufacturing (apparently it is not cheap) I have the metallic red model that I repeins gloss black very quickly.
tunomatic bridge, vibrato has the same head as that of the original.
Handle large and thick like the original, 23 frets, graduation band Pearl, a treat!
Three mini-humbucker with an on-off switch for each, a volume knob and one tone for the whole.
I go to mount individual tone switch.

UTILIZATION

the handle is just great,
Ergonomics is very nice, the guitar is sitting balance as standing
access to the acute uh .. I play very very rarely below the 17th fret so I do not very careful. :)
Its clear the sound is good but somewhat lacking in dynamic,
or saturated by crunch is a killer, what is the 511 ..

SOUNDS

I play the blues with this guitar dilapidated plugged into a Vox AC15, with only one pedal and réberb DD7, it sounds like hell!
Big surprise of the first agreement, we do not expect her for the price this guitar;)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it since March, and it satisfies me very well,
I tried a HOFNER 176 of 1968 before the sound is of course great, but does not surpass the relatively new edition to justify the price!
Quality / price ratio exellent in my opinion.
most: sound, set, THE PRICE!
Cons: Why on earth did they collect the settings panel airbus way?! (-1)
It's a real rock guitar in fact cheap, with good sound and has a good face, the kind that can take hits without saying that we will find this 10-year-old model;)
