Note the emphasis of the sympathetic friend Xavier Petit
OVERALL OPINION
I completely agree with what Didi purple.
I would add that the explanations on the shaping of the handle (the handle) are particularly clear, and the proposed method is simple, easy to reproduce with only a rasp.
Besides Xavier Petit primarily uses hand tools or portable electric that are accessible to the amateur (price, usage).
This DVD covers the manufacture of a Strat-type guitar. This is both good because it is the type of violin as accessible to beginners. But it is also on this type of violin found most explanations, tutorials on the Internet or in the Anglo-Saxon ...
In fact I would have liked, preferred a DVD on the guitar for a Gibson Les Paul Standard: Archtop, set neck with a reversal, head bowed, binding key and body.
Or a guitar with a neck-which requires a reversal.
An idea for a 2nd DVD Mr. Petit?
The only drawback is the latest intervention by Xavier Petit in the DVD, just show us the manufacture of a guitar, but we explained that for the control (barely an octave, action) should go see a luthier!? So we did the hardest?
At least that is the subject of another DVD on the settings.
Very nice initiative. Congratulations and thank you Mr Xavier Petit!
