TASTE [created by KHAGE on the Meng Qi Wing Pinger Electronic Music System]
Four pieces composed on the Meng Qi Wing Pinger, a duophonic electronic instrument consisting of 2x 4-pole resonant low pass filters.
These tracks are the result of trials and happy accidents during my first days with the Wing Pinger.
A deliberately minimal approach which gives birth to empirical generative soundscapes and random noises.
This album is a tribute to the work of Morton Subotnick and refers specifically to his third record composed entirely on Buchla's 100 Series modular synth “Touch” in 1969.
Special thanks to Meng Qi for creating such a unique and inspiring instrument.

Quatre pièces composées sur le Meng Qi Wing Pinger, un instrument électronique duophonique basé sur deux filtres passe-bas résonnants à 4 pôles.
Ces filtres peuvent être "pingués" et modulés, à la fois directement et par des signaux pas à pas générés.
Ces morceaux sont le résultat d'essais et d'heureux accidents lors de mes premiers jours avec le Wing Pinger.
Une approche délibérément minimale qui donne naissance à des paysages sonores génératifs empiriques et à des bruits aléatoires.
Cet album est un hommage au travail de Morton Subotnick et fait spécifiquement référence à son troisième disque composé entièrement sur le synthé modulaire Buchla de la série 100 "Touch" en 1969.
Un grand merci à Meng Qi pour avoir créé un instrument aussi unique qu'inspirant.
