----------- New Version, little box. ------------
Wah, tremolo, phaser, tremolo.
24v.
True Bypass.
Possibility to control through expression pedal.
LED blinks at rhythm.
UTILIZATION
Utilization is extremely simple:
Switch on, turn knobs, search and find.
Very good quality, robust housing. The switch is straightforward, sec. It's tough.
SOUND QUALITY
Turning one knob we get 4 different effects.
Note that I used the new version in a small housing.
Beyond the simple fact of the obvious space saving, the effect is cleansed of the annoying hum of the previous version. A little hiss appears on some specific settings, but frankly it's barely audible!
Overall, the pedal has a color all its own.
Based on the main effect, namely the wah, the others are developed around that sound.
Controls are effective, useful, and very even.
Wah: An effect very peculiar, strong and vintage-y. The color is magnificent from the first listen. One of the most convincing moduation effects I've ever heard.
Phaser: In the same vein as wah but more subtle, it is reminiscent of the Uni-vibe as used by Hendrix.
Tremolo: tremolo is very limited. Nince tha EHX put it on, but it's merely a regular modulation. You can not manipulate it too much. It does his job, as it is, but dors not replace a proper tremolo.
Anyway, it's here, and it can be used every now and then.
Vibrato: The same register as the tremolo but with a little detune. Again, I do not think this is the best. If you are a fan of AC vibrato can do just as well as for the trem. You can use it to emulate a Leslie effect.<div>
Expression pedal function is interesting. I use a volume pedal.
Not necessarily useful, the only pedal delivers its already very interesting and mostly full. For me it helps me a lot. Especially for the wah and phase, obviously, since a tremolo can be done with the volume pedal alone.
Finally, very interesting feature of this effect:
One can freeze te tone corresponing to a momento of the modulation wave. (In position pedal expression pedal but .. lol) We thus obtain tunable filters. On saturation It works miracles!</div>
OVERALL OPINION
Sounds rich, vintage, tubby.
+
multi function
expression pedal
sounds rich and beautiful
breath less
Filters fixed!
PLACE IN THE Pedalboard!
