UK distributor Impact has announced a UK distribution deal with loudspeaker manufacturer Ohm.
This comes in tandem with the launch of a new speaker range developed jointly by both companies. JET by Ohm is a range of British-made speakers. To celebrate the partnership, Impact is running a competition throughout the 2012 PLASA show to win five pairs of Ohm BR-5 loudspeakers, requiring visitors to answer a simple question correctly to enter.

JET by Ohm
The JET by Ohm range comprises three top boxes designed to provide high and middle audio frequencies. These can be used alone or in conjunction with bass and subwoofer units from the range. The JET-T10 features a 10” woofer and 1” high frequency compression driver; the JET-T12 has a 12” woofer and 1½” high frequency driver; and the JET-T15 has a 1½” high frequency compression driver and 15” bass driver.
Three bass cabinets range from the entry-level JET-B15 (15” bass driver) mounted in a JET SALT (Symmetrical Air Load Technology) enclosure, through the JET-B18 (18” bass driver with 4” voice coil) and JET-B218.
The JET by Ohm range is completed by three subwoofers. These bass speakers have baffles and low frequency driver placement designed to maximise the LF performance and minimise distortion. The JET-SUB212 has two 12” drivers covering 42–85Hz; the JET-SUB215 has two 15” drivers covering 38–114Hz and the largest of the three, the JET-SUB218 3,000 watt cabinets with two 18” drivers covering 26–115Hz.
