Made in Korea
Pickups: Ovation OCP-1K
Bowl: Deep Contour
22 frets
Top: Spruce
Neck: Rosewood.
Preamp: OP Pro (Gain, EQ 3band, tuner)
UTILIZATION
The grip is really nice, the deep contour bowl is simply brilliant and provides a comfortable game without the slide guitar on knees (That can happen with mid deph bowl). Also the guitar is relatively light but round nose-dived when playing standing.
For the run I would say that guitarists accustomed al'électrique find them more easily than other brands. This is a handle end, well made, and with a good attack. It was this attack that lets them exercise particular the tapping.
SOUNDS
The sound is as special as great. it is deep and offers good bass, I give myself personally often drop D and in light of its issued, I prefer to stay there! As low resonate better.
With an amp is different, it must be set so low these do not muffle the sound with the equalizer in the preamp there is no problem on that side: lower bass frequencies.
I use it often with a Marshall MG100DFX or so with soft as 3 or Amplitube Guitar Rig4 on a set of Elixir strings. The very fact sound good gear!
OVERALL OPINION
I use this guitar for around 2 months, many people try to discourage me from buying a standing ovation at this price but now I do not regret anything. I hesitated a long time because of the famous "Made in Korea" which I believe nothing so pejorative.
I tried quite a model home and Takamine Cort before opting for Ovation. Without a doubt it was that or nothing!
In view of finishes and materials quality, value for money seems to be correct ... but not exellent correct. I would do this choice without hesitation.
