Excellent
As standard, with an EQ section complete (low medium high), and a boost. see more at EHX site for details, the site is well done.
Note that with these new formats, EHX had the good idea to take a standard format power supply, and that's good!
UTILIZATION
A configuration setting and Zetes, use standard!
Oh yes, anyway, the equalization is very precise and with an impressive flexibility. fourth-hair ass right or left, and the sound is transformed! rather nice, but the grip at the start takes a little patience.
SOUND QUALITY
I tested the input of a Marshall VS100 head (transistor) and in my Classic 30 (tube) and the machine is very good friend avc lamps.
This may be my settings but then the sound is very acute in the marshall, he finds the warmth and body with the classic 30. That happiness.
For my part, I plug an overdrive (the voodoo lab sparkle drive) between the metal muff and the amp. It allows me to round out the sound for solos and sounds more rock than metal. In this case, no need to add gain, it was enough.

Distos intended for metal and the like, this pedal gets along well with humbuckers. But it also very well with simple, p90 or strat / tele. the gain level is then lower, but the sound is very good, and the characteristics of these microphones preserved.
One downside in my opinion, the boost is not very versatile. there's hardly nine hours it is exploitable. So, a little advice to EHX to future versions of the bug: throw boost setting, preset in this position, only the switch is sufficient. It'll be a little more pedal, the pedalboard will be happy
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for three weeks at home and repeating. The price / quality ratio is excellent. A 79 euros in playback, it was an effective metal distortion and musical sound, and who knows how to do anything other than metal. to be honest, I turned my other distortion to keep only the one with an overdrive in addition.
A test anyway if possible with their equipment or something equivalent qque because it seems to react differently depending on the configs.
In short, you could try it and well worth the cost!
